Sloane----Standard gearing in the TR6 should show 20.6 mph per 1,000
rpm in 4th gear. So you should be seeing 62 mph @ 3,000. (Tire size
makes no difference in the relationship between these two units)

I'm thinking the tach on the 73 is not working properly. At least it
does not match my tach on the 69. Just from memory (or if you don't mind
making a mental note next drive), what is your RPM at 60 MPH? NO
OVERDRIVE.
