John---A "temporary" fix could be using an Allen head cap screw. The kind with an unthreaded shank under the head. Add a nyloc nut and you're set until you decide to get serious about replacing the "pin". A trip to a well-stocked hardware store might give you other options. A roll pin? An elevator bolt?
