Joe---Sounds like your suspension is bottoming out for some reason, or
the car is able to roll farther than it should. You didn't specify the
year of your car, so I don't know if it has antiroll bar assistance.
The stock height for the front end is about 27.5 inches from ground to
the bottom of the fender lip. See what you have here, and with the
wheels turned, bounce the front end to then see how much it compresses.
When all parts are in good condition, you should be able to use the
springs that lower the car the one inch as you had once intended.
