Hi William,

I made four "ramps" out of 18" to 8" lengths of 2"x6" scraps piled 3
high.  Angle the front edge of each "ramp" to assist the tires in their
journey up the "ramps".  Drive the car up on the "ramps".  I also nailed
a small stop block to keep the tires from easily rolling off the other
side.

For the rear, evenly straddle a 2x6 across the saddle of the floor jack
and lift just about where the rear wheels are located.  I also nailed a
small circular piece of wood to the 2x6 to keep the jack sadlly evenly
spaced.  Place jack stands at the frame just to the rear of the wheels.  

For the front, I jack at the front crossmember and place the jack stands
at the frame in that general area.

Works for me.
