Todd,
I can sympathize with you. I just went through the same thing with Rimmer
myself. After waiting 6 months (BO) for an adapter bracket to adapt a J
type OD trans to fit my 72 frame I received a bracket which didn't come
close to doing the job. It didn't look like the drawing in the catalog or
include a mount as stated. I contacted Rimmer and even graphically drew the
bracket so that I could email them a picture of it because I didn't believe
they sent me the right one. They told me that they would investigate it and
get back with me. After several weeks and after sending them multiple
emails I got no where. I too had to return it and eat the postage. Sorry
to here it happened to you too.

I'm thinking about fabricating some frame mounts and just welding them in
although I'm a little worried about getting every thing inline and my
welding skills are not that good. I have a J type cross member so all I
need is a spot on the frame to mount it. This probably won't happen until
next month though because the car is in storage until the weather is more
favorable.

Good luck
Dave Mahlmeister
