I'm wondering if there's a better brand of caps and rotors available for the
TR6. I've had 3 or 4 rotors go bad since March. I carry a spare, but today
it happened on a busy highway, in the rain, during the start of rush hour.
The brand that I have been using is "intermotor" and they are, IMO, crap.
However, I haven't found anything else that will fit.
I've replaced and checked the plug wires, replaced the cap and plugs as
well. I have an MSD-6AL that I am using. I hope that's not contributing to
the demise of the rotors as I like having the rev-limiter.
By going bad I mean that the car will not run until I replace the rotor.
There are no apparent cracks on the rotor, nor can I see where the spark
might be sneaking through the rotor to the top of the distributor.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
Don Clark
