I know what you mean! I've been trying to finish the brakes on the rear of my
'74 and Moss is out of the 522-408 (retaining clips and pin set) and TRF has no
stock on their equivalent GISP1012 kit. Probably because they all have the
clips but no one has the pins. The clips are TRF 508818 / Moss 582-400. The
retaining pin itself is shown in TRF's Blue Book (pg. 253) as their P/N 122505
but their parts price list has no record of it. Victoria British shows the
brake parts but has no part number for the pin! The Moss catalog simply says
N/A for
the pin. How hard could it be for one of their suppliers to make? Since most of
us replace the mounting hardware when we replace the shoes, why would they make
every part but the these pins available? So John, couldn't you cut down the
1-1/2" pin you found at the hardware store?
