Don,
My '75 TR6 had a service indicator which counted down to indicate from
100, the percentage of mileage remaining until the EGR valve needed
servicing. This service was due every 12,500 miles.
A standard length speedo drive cable, from '74 and before, fits just
fine with or without OD.
