Dick-No, I am not sorry I asked, but I do feel like a person who asked for 
the time and was given a discourse on how to built a clock. It just seemed 
reasonable to assume that any visible wear on the needle would enrichen the 
mixture enough to affect gas mileage and even .001"-.002" change in needle 
dia. makes a dramatic change in the mixture.  I bet there are still quite a 
few cars on the road still wearing the original needles&jets.  Berry
