[TR] Overriders Bumperetts

David, take a look at an exploded diagram of the rear bumper (Moss, Rimmer Bros, TRF’s Green/Blue books, etc.) You will see that under the over-rider is a “rubber washer” and a bracket that joins the centre bumper piece to the corner pieces. That “rubber washer” should already be there but if not in good shape, you can get a replacement from most of the usual suppliers. That “rubber washer” is likely what you are referring to as a rubber strip. When I took the bumper apart on my wife’s TR6 (now gone to a new owner), I documented the hardware bits in a Word document and would be happy to send it along if you like. Once apart, just bolt back together without the over-riders and support brackets.

Folks, A lot of you have removed the Overriders and have replaced with a rubber strip on the split bumpers. Is there a kit offered somewhere? Directions to appreciated. Dave P
