Unless I’m very much mistaken (highly likely!) you’ll probably have difficulty removing the original lock and its overall bracket. Certainly, early steering locks made in Germany by Waso had bolt heads that sheared off when finally tightened, though whether the locks fitted at the factory did the same I can’t say - ‘cos I’ve forgotten. The worst that can happen is to lie in the footwell with a drill and drill the bolt out. Failing that, it’s dismantle whole steering column, remove it from the car and do the drilling in a vice.
