Gotcha Frank! Ironically, I now recall that my three 60s Slant 6 Dodges ( 61 Lancer wagon, 63 Dart GT convert & 65 Dodge a100 pickup) used mechanically activated brake light switches, as does my 65 TR4= CT50054L I'D by VTR decades ago as last TR4 by serial# imported to US Later TR4s were TR4As (IRS).Not surprised TR3s had hydraulic switch but so did Jag 120s-150s.On the Jags, switch was in brake line lower inner fender and when leaked- driver lost brake system. On long club drive fortunately had bolt to replace bad switch & saved friends Day as we were over 100mi from 'home DC area".Many have replaced hydraulic switches with mechanically activated switches, not hard to do.Oh the simple things that cause 'anxiety' when they fail!Sherman Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S10, an AT&T 5G Evolution capable smartphone

but most of your new cars are using a switch located at your break pedal.not into the DOT5 itself.
