On the so called “Big” Healeys, the dust caps have a short threaded stud welded to the cap. Removal is accomplished by threading a nut onto the stud and pulling on the nut with some form of plyers.
Once you get yours off, I suppose one could weld similar studs on the TR dust caps for ease in future removal.
