Subject: [TR] TR3 Engine Rear Seal
Hi guys,
I know this has been discussed in the past but I'm stuck. I have the engine out and on a stand, upside down for good access. I got the no-machining seal from Moss and have the seal on, spring in place, and split oriented towards the top of the engine, but every time I try to set the crank back into the bearings the seal bunches up at the rear bearing cap joint. I had the end cap on, but not tight. I plan to remove the end cap, clean up the Permatex, and try without the cap, hoping I can get the seal into place.
Am I missing something here?
Joe
