$21K is WAAAY  too much for that.  Way too much.  Undoubtedly the guy who did this is very proud of this abomination.

 

I hope it does not go anywhere near that this time

This was bid to $21K and did not meet reserve last time it was on BaT. Although it is great work I think a lot of buyers will know these cars and be put a little off. Not too much work, but a couple of thousand in parts to make it a real TR4A. Wood dash, gear shift pedestal, dash trim, bonnet emblem, grill, trunk badge, bonnet TRIUMPH lettering, side markers and chrome strip.

The ad makes it pretty plain.. "it's a TR4A with 'back-dated' items". I prefer leaving the T R I U M P H lettering on hood in either case.

I wouldn't be surprized if someone spent $30,000.00 on that restoration.
