[TR] Regarding Triumph variants

The new registration letter came out halfway into the year so as to even out demand for the new models that were usually available starting in September / October. Everyone wanted the ‘M’ reg. cars rather than the ‘L’ regs. If the letter change also coincided with new models, then literally no-one would buy the old stock. Growing up next to Longbridge I remember they would retool and restock for the new models during industrial fortnight in August while the plant was also being cleaned and repaired.
