[TR] old new convertible top

Hi Doug,
If it’s a Robbins top be really sure the top still fits before going to all the trouble to install it. I put a Robbins Sunfast top on my TR6 years ago, and although, it looks great when up or down, it is a lot of work to puit up under cool conditions. About a year ago I spoke to a well respected installer who told me that the rear window section of the Robbins tops are short and thus Robbins tops are always a tight fit. I found that my previous vinyl top was difficult to get up unless is was either very warm - it was also a Robbins top. In spite of what Robbins said when I contacted them, their tops don’t stretch after they have been installed and left in the sun…
I’d be curious to know if anyone has had better luck with their top installations.
	Best,
	Bob
