I recently pulled the head off of my '59 TR3 as part of an overall
inspection and oil re-seal (hahaha!).

Engine was rebuilt about 8 years ago and only has about 8k on it.

Head studs were all replaced at the time of the rebuild.

All studs were easily removed with the exception of the front RH one, which
was corroded and wet.

>From a coolant perspective, there was absolutely nothing wrong - no lost
coolant, no overheating, no seeping, in fact the car ran reliably at 165
degrees regardless of temperature outside, so steady in fact that I doubted
the temp gauge and checked all the time with an infra red thermometer -
always 165.

Is this stud supposed to be "wet" or do I have an internal crack somewhere
that isn't leaking to the outside? Wouldn't it have leaked past the head
bolt and washer when hot?
