[TR] weber carbs

Carburetors are not trivial.  The fuel/air ratio controls are subtle and subject to many outside variables such as temperature.  The A/F ration needed at a given air flow will be different depending on engine speed vs throttle position so adjustments are, at best, a compromise.

The lads in Coventry spend many, many hours setting up an optimum compromise and I see no sense in tossing all that work in the bin unless you have made really significant changes to the engine (cam, compression, porting, etc)
I agree.  I'll stick with the SU's.

I would think this would be a lot of carb for this engine, however.     https://www.amazon.com/TRIUMPH-DUAL-WEBER-CONVERSION-P28-010/dp/B01N5QPJC6    Mike Michael Marr    Mobile:  630-202-0065    Sent from my iPad

I don’t know a lot about Weber carbs, but I believe that these particular carbs are progressive choke - that is, at normal throttle openings only one choke (the smaller one) is in use.  The second choke opens only when the throttle is opened wide.  I believe this style of Weber was developed to give cars the economy of a single choke carb under normal driving conditions, with the ability to greatly increase mixture flow to the engine when additional power was needed. As such, I would think that it would be difficult to synchronize a pair of them. But, as I said up front, I know very little about Weber carbs...

I think I found the ID – could it be a 32-36 DGV?
