Haven't purchased for a while, but as I recall a box of say, 100 3/8-24 
nylon lock nuts from a local fastener supply store was about the same 
price as two little plastic 4 count bags from the big box home 
improvement places.  I think I may have gotten lots of stuff from a 
place in California called Coast Fabrication or something, as well as 
Aircraft Spruce.
