My two cents, if it hasn't been mentioned... remove one spark plug wire at a time. If it's a rod bearing the noise will go away.

Take the fan belt off and run the engine (briefly) and see if that changes anything.  If it does that is probably where the problem is.  It could be the water pump or a failing belt or the generator.


Use a stethoscope and probe around.  Use a length of hose and probe around.

I ran the ‘3 for about 60miles today.  On returning home and running at idle I noticed a knock.  I hear in the video here
