 We went back via Vancouver and Calgary.  That was a really hot summer but it was nice on the west side of the Cascades.  Great trip.

That was a good trip :)
I still remember the return trip driving back up the Columbia river gorge being pushed by the winds.  I had good gas mileage on that uphill stretch!

When adding the cruise control you should order an OD escutcheon for the steering column and use the OD switch opening for the cruise column switch.  I've use that escutcheon on my 64 Spitfire, TR4 and also the TR6 with the AP500.  
I remember seeing that installation on your Spitfire back in 1999 -- OMG, was that really 20 years ago? Anyway, it was a nice, clean installation using that escutcheon!
