Terry, the problem may have nothing to do with your wiring work.  It reminds me of my trip to visit my family in Buffalo during the winter in the early 1970's. I parked it on the street during a frigid, windy snow event. When I went to start it in the morning, it started fine, and I turned on the wipers, defroster, etc.  At first everything seemed to be working, but then I started losing the accessories one by one.  When the heater defroster stopped working, I  decided that I  better not try taking it anywhere. Later on, after the sun had a chance to shine on it for a while, I went out to it and everything was working normally. From that experience, I am convinced that electrons are allergic to cold snowy weather. :-)
