[TR] Stubborn Oil filter

At the shop, on stubborn filters we used a tool like this:
GearWrench <https://www.homedepot.com/b/Electrical-Electrical-Tools-Electrical-Hand-Tools/GearWrench/N-5yc1vZ7opZbm76>
1/2 in. Drive Nylon Strap Oil Filter Wrench
which HomeDepot lists.
When that strap wrench crushed the can without breaking it loose, we resorted to driving a screwdriver through the can.
Best of luck.
Cliff

When you get mad enough, you will grab the biggest pipe wrench you have, crawl under the car and attack it until you are covered in oil and you knuckles are scraped and bleeding. One way or another it will come of looking like a squished tin can and you will ooze confidence as you tell us all how you did it !!
Sorry – no real advice. I have had to resort to some pretty ugly solutions to do it, though.

Into the final stretch now, the ‘3 has a spin on filter adaptor and well after 12years seems the filter is not liking to budge. And it is tight quarters to get a handle on. Any suggestions to getting this sucker off??? I have a filter “claw” wrench but I can seem to get a good grip….
Thanks
David
Hopefully firing up the engine this week, what a way to celebrate Canada Day!!!!!
