[TR] TR3A Distributor question

The little ears on the breaker plate where it screws into the distributor body (see photo), should they be on the same plain as the plate itself? Mine are bent say 5-10 degrees up towards the back end. Almost like somebody (not saying who) applied too much force trying to get an over tighten retain screw off.
