[TR] TR4 gas gauge

Clarification/correction/update.
I see the major vendors selling 12.9 gallon tanks for TR4 - 6.
The glove box  blue and purple handbooks say fuel tank capacity is 12.5 
gallons US.

The "Complete Official Triumph 1967 - 1976" (Blue Book) shows gas tank 
capacities varied over the years.

Not saying you are wrong.  The workshop manual says 14gal US / 11.7gal

My gas gage read pretty empty; looking into the tank with a flashlight

confirmed that it was pretty empty. Obviously I don't have an exact 
amount

of what was left.  The float seemed like it was at the bottom of its 
arc.



I put 7 1/2 gallons in; it read 1/2 full.  Anyone want to comment on 
whether

its reading high, low, or pretty close?
