[TR] Barn find!!! or is this a Garage Find???

As my son is now bringing this beast home,  he relayed an interesting story from the now previous owner.
Apparently back in the 70s, when these were just old cars,  he came upon a derelict tr3 by the side of the road.   It had a factory hard top.   Which is now on this car. 
I think we used to call that "midnight auto supply. "
