[TR] Tr3a wiper blades

I admit modern universal wiper blades are sometimes a puzzle to install but I didn't think a TRF blade.

The longer one is the new one which appears too long and doesn't have an open end in the connector for the bayonet end of the arm (see pic)

Last time (10 years ago?) I drilled out the pin and transferred the old connector to the new blade (and took a tin snip to the blade to shorten it).

So did TRF send me the wrong part twice, is my wiper arm non-standard or am I missing something basic?
