[TR] Looking for inspiration

For the first fan I put on my TR3A, I used standard zip ties. They may be
thinner than the ones in your pictures. I didn't loop them around though, I
slipped one through the vanes and cut the head off a second one to use as
sort of a nut. I also used nylon washers on both sides. I didn't have any
trouble with the radiator for probably 15 years and then it started weeping
around the tank. I don't necessarily recommend this approach, attaching to
the rails is probably better and when I had the radiator redone and attached
a new fan, I was able to line up two or three mounting holes with the side
rails, drill through them and mount it directly.

As an aside, since putting a "modern" core on the radiator and a plastic
tropical fan on the engine, I haven't had the need to use the electric fan.

Afternoon all

Looking for some inspiration, I am reassembling my tr3a and the new radiator
is about to go in. I am wanting to attach an electric fan to the front.
The fan came with the plastic ties of course but the fins are so dense that
I feel they would get damaged if I pushed them through. Instead looking for
an alternative attachment method. So far I have aluminum c-channel to
attach to the side supports now figuring how to attach the fan to it. I
reach out to the collective smarts for some ideas????? Pictures attached

Thanks in advance
David
