[TR] help needed with persistent gas smell

The only times my TR4 smelled of gas there was a leak. The carb jets will leak, the float bowl attachment to the carb will leak, the fuel pump and strainer can leak. The fuel tank outlet bung is soldered to the tank and can crack if overtightened. The tank outlet sits on a felt/wool pad which will absorb the leak. Plus two rubber hoses between tank and fuel pump. Also the tank air vent should not be blocked.
