Subject: [TR] worn splines on wire wheels

 

Going through my stash of wire wheels for my stag. Half of the splines on them are worn Do they wear with age or should I be tightening the octagon nut on a periodic basis? In some cases the splines on the hubs are worn too.

 

Has anyone come up with anything useful for a unusable wire wheel. Or should they just go to the recycler?
