[TR] TR6 Brakes Update

I have replaced both brake and clutch systems with Silicone with no
problems. When I was considering it for Chris' TR6, a well-known TRiumph
expert (Head Mechanic for the Canadian Triumph Team back in the day and a
lengthy career in servicing and repairing TRs) suggested NOT doing the
clutch system as he thought it would benefit from the increased lubrication
of the DOT fluid over the Silicone fluid. Since he has forgotten more than I
will ever know about TRs, I went with his suggestion.

Everyone,

I am making slow progress on my brake issue. Turned out that everything
needs rebuilt or replaced. When I am done I should be good for another 45
years before having another problem. But I do have a couple of additional
questions.

1. I am making the conversion to silicone brake fluid. Are there any
reasons why I shouldn't also change the clutch system to silicone?
2. I ordered from the Roadster Factory new wires (140606( for the securing
the rubber boots on the axle shafts. What I received are long wires (about
18" with a loop on each end. Can anyone tell me how these are supposed to be
installed?

Thanks for the help.
