[TR] water pipe

I used the stainless PI version of that pipe when I did the Weber conversion some years ago. The only problem if it is indeed a problem is the pipe is smooth where the rubber hose connects. There is nothing but the hose clamp to stop the hose from coming off.

I took the precaution of roughing up the surface of the pipe and applying some Loctite before sliding on the (dry) hose. It has held up with no issues for several years.

Moss part 865-080, also available in stainless 635-095, #50 on the diagram

mine is rusted, of course, and I’m wrestling with what to do. I’m replacing the water pump housing and the water pump with aluminum parts. partially for the bling, partially for the weight and horsepower gain (yes, I know its pretty small).

has anyone used the stainless; I was thinking brass made a lot more sense. is there something out there; can I make my own?

also part 379-680 is a nice bit of rust catcher. replacing that with brass while I’m there.

thoughts?
