If the fenders and front apron are in place, loosen the bolts and slide the tabs in – ideally close to the bolts so they will be held in place when you tighten the bolts again.  An alternative is to drill the tabs and rivet then to the front fenders (as you do with the long solid piece) if the apron is off the car – then reassemble the apron and secure it.

 

The rear beading is a pain as you have to work around the large stone guard, but the same principle applies.

 

Good luck – they can be tricky !  On the TR2 and later cars the beading was painted, which meant they could be put in place during final assembly and before painting.
