Joe,

You might try heating with a torch and then using a candle and let the 
wax work in. I used this method to remove rusted studs from a TR6 
exhaust manifold. You need to concentrate the heat on the nut if possible.

To remove broken studs, you can try to weld/braze a bolt and then use 
wax, wd40 or aerocrole (sp).

If you have a butterfly air wrench, set it to low torque and that may 
help some also.
