[TR] can I put my empty gearbox in the dish washer.for cleaning?

I suppose you can but I doubt the dishwasher will do an effective job on it.

Engine cleaner and pressure wash (at home or at the DIY car wash) will be
much more effective:

Once clean I used Aluma-Brite for a final clean & rinse
