[TR] Dipping vs stripping vs blasting

For the latest restoration (TR250), I didn't want to have the tub or panels
blasted, as I am always afraid of warping. Similarly, I didn't have the
patience for paint stripper or grinding - plus there are always areas these
methods cannot reach. So this time I took the car to get it dipped and
e-coated.

Before I did, I repaired areas where there was some rot (mainly the result
of longstanding mice nests). I was concerned about the trunk floor, where
the metal seemed very thin and I wondered if the car would come back with no
floor in it.

But I collected the car today and have to say I was delighted with the
result: everything straight - no warpage and a trunk floor intact apart
from an area a few inches long where there were several pinholes.

While a lot of this is testament to the state of the car (original, never
hit, no bondo), I also think the process worked well. It was expensive, but
this is a car I intend to keep and I think it was money well spent.

Just FWIW
