[TR] How to remove a frozen wire wheel from a non running Triumph Stag

When this problem occurred with the lug nuts on my F150 and Explorer (due to air-gun over-tightening), I fabricated an extension to my socket wrench handle using a hollow tube which at one time has been used in a closet to hang clothes on. This gave me the additional torque to free up the nuts. Something similar may work for you.

Cheers,

Brian

I had this exact problem with my Stag. I unded up having to cut all 4 wheels off. In your case you've got little choice; you'll need to heat up the nut. Hopefully that will be enough to get it off.

if I apply heat the chrome nut will it mar the chrome.
I have one of those extended wrenches especially for the wheel nut.
