[TR] TR6 Gearbox - Countershaft bearings

I've got my gearbox completely disassembled (and carefully arranged so
I can reassemble it)...

...except for the small bearings inside the countershaft 1st/reverse
piece.  These bearings are held in with a little clip that's oddly
made - the ends are cut on a bias, so that you can hook a screwdriver
or tool under one end, but the other end is cut the other way, so
almost nothing can grab a hold of it.

Anyone got a trick for removing these clips?
