[TR] Price of B. Piggott's Original TR2,3?

I can't remember if this particular book was on e-bay or not, I think this
topic started what, in April? Anyway, e-bays switch to policies that
basically make it free to list but you pay them (and paypal) a bunch when
things actually sell, and the general big return on investment (so to speak)
that you can get for exposure vs. advertising price has encouraged this type
of thing.

While I agree that everybody has a right to ask as much as they want for
things, I sort of get tired of wading through all the same old ads by the
same old vendors that list them over and over again, like the guys in
Florida who seem to think every old grungy British car part they come across
is rare and valuable and list at about 3-5x market. But since it costs
little or nothing to advertise and hope springs eternal, things with crazy
prices seem to be popping up more and more often, there is a 70s Spitfire on
Ebay for $14000 asking price, the description notes a problem with the shift
linkage, nothing against Spits, but if I were paying that kind of money for
one I would expect it to be low miles, everything in perfect running order,
formerly owned by Elvis, and hell even then it is still a 70s Spitfire.

Old man insomniac rant off.

Regards,

Greg Lemon
