If you select the right size fuse you should be fine. Amps = 
watts/voltage with your engine running.  Just choose a fuse that can 
handle a little extra power.  Alternators can often put out 15 volts 
above idle.

What you really should have is a relay for both high beam lights and a 
second for the low beam lights.  Then fuse each relay independently.  
That way you will get full brightness out of your lights.
