we have a whole buddy crew here in the Temecula area. we could organize 4 to 6 guys to do the handling. but we just don't want to tempt fate, if we don't have to.

Frank,
Don't have the answer to your questions but the last time I had to pull the
apron I ran a 2" wide strip of painter's tape on either side of the beading.
Seems it is the tabs on the beading that want to pop out, go wild, and
scratch the paint while both hands are engaged with the apron.

i know its been discussed a hundred times, but i gota ask again.
it looks like i could remove:
inlet and exhaust manifold
dynamo
water pump
fan
horns

and with a little jiggling maybe get the radiator out without removing the
apron.
anyone ever had any luck with this approach?

my buddy really does not want to remove the apron. it fits so well and we
are scared to death of chipping paint.

Frank
