[TR] Tr4 Leaf Springs

In the past when I removed and reinstalled the rear leaf springs many times
on my TR4, the car was complete so all I had to do was jack up the springs
then tighten the nuts onto the U bolts.
I am trying to do the same with a bare chassis but when I jackup there isn't
enough weight to hold down the chassis.
I have installed any of the drive train, should I do this first or do I try
and source longer U bolts and put a longer one on then tighten and put on a
standard bolt
