FWIW, I do the same thing.  IMO it doesn't necessarily remove _all_ the
stain, but does an excellent job of hiding whatever remains.  

Also FWIW, conventional kitty litter (the clay kind) from the local grocery
store seems to work just as well for me as Oil Dry.  Cheaper and easier to
find at 10PM on a Sunday.
