If I'm thinking of the correct slits, I believe the bottom (rearward) flap
get a grommet that secures the flap by going over the LTD post.  Then the
front flap (which gets a female LTD)  goes over the same post to hold both
flaps in place.  Here're some pics:

 To make this easier I used a longer LTD post in that spot (available as a
Model T or Model A part) though the standard post should also work.  Needed
a longer LTD there anyway for my 'soft' sidecurtains:
