If you are just worried about the shaft and rockers you can use brake 
clean with the red tube installed to shoot cleaner through the shaft.  
Moving the rockers to align the hole in the rocker with the hole in the 
shaft will allow cleaner to seep out of the rocker arm.  You can check 
each rocker arm individually that way.
