Craig,

I'm assuming that the car runs well after the tune-up. I don't think that
"cold plugs" would suddenly cause the motor to run so cold that the temp
needle barely budges. If the motor runs well through the gears with the
choke in, idles nicely, doesn't seem to be putting out any soot at the
tailpipe, and the plugs look to be firing cleanly, I'd first suspect the temp gauge
circuit back to (and including) the temp sender.

It could be that in the process of tuning the car, the wire to the temp
sender was disturbed. Also, how is the fuel gauge responding? There's a
device known as a voltage stabilizer wired into the temp gauge and fuel gauge
circuits.....if the fuel gauge is reading a little funky, you may want to
check (replace is more likely) the voltage stabilizer.

I haven't seen many temp gauges go completely bad....not always accurate
but seldom do they just quit. The temp senders do tend to get a bit
out-of-wack after some years. If your engine is running well, I'm guessing it's
the sender/sender wire.

My concern is after the jets were corrected and the car tuned, the
temperture gauge barely comes out into the white part of the gauge
