I believe that is backwards for the TRactor motor.  You want to go
counter-clockwise (vacuum module moving away from the engine) until the
light goes out, then clockwise until it just comes on.

Don't forget that this sets the timing to 0 degrees.  Afterwards, you should
advance it 4 degrees using the vernier.

Fred was quite a character, and a true gentleman.  The world is a poorer
place without him.
