[TR] TR3 Water retention?

Geo, many thanks!  I guess either the PO or the guy that did my body had
filled this hole.  I drilled it out and now it is drying out just fine.
 
Would there be any wisdom to using a can of foam "Great Stuff" or similar to
fill this cavity completely to avoid and water settling in here?
