[TR] TR3 dash recovering question

Looking for any direction, tips, or "been there done that" on recovering the
dash vinyl. It seems to be almost impossible to remove the original vinyl at
this point, haven't tried heat yet. I did tried peeling a spot with a razor
and its extremely difficult, almost impossible. I'm also concerned about
laying it on smoothly without any creases or bubbles, specifically around the
center panel cut out...thanks for the help.
